I love your site, but am worried about travel costs...? There is no better time to travel to Palme d'Or. Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Newark (EWR), New York (JFK), and Philadelphia offer direct flights. At the time of this web update, flights were as cheap as $605 from Lexington. A Steal if ever I saw one!!! Websites that we use for air travel fares include delta.com, and kayak.com
Is there a market within walking distance? The Sapphire Superette operated by Herb (with a very dry wit) is quite handy as it is next door in the lower level.
Where can we shop for a good value? Front Street in Philipsburg is full of 'boat people' but some good jewelry and electronics values can be gotten.
Where can we shop for designer merchandise? Marigot has more upscale designer shopping, but with the primium on the Euro, it can be more difficult to justify buying on the French side. One of our favorite gift shops is En Vogue, and there is one on Maho Village on the Dutch side along with one in Marigot across from Act III on Rue du General de Gaulle.
If needed, is there a good pharmacy on the island? The Maho Pharmacy in Maho Village is well stocked and service is excellent, and behind it is the Mullet Bay Medical Clinic where Dr. Deketh provides the good services of a GP. His perscriptions can be filled at the Maho Pharmacy, or any pharmacy on the island.

Is there parking available? Yes, the parking is underground, with wheelchair access to the elevator. The elevator takes you to the top of the building, no more than ten steps from our front door!
